The collection holds archaeological material from the Paleolithic period to 18th century, including objects from Victorian amateurs like the Rev J.F.Chanter. We are the receiving museum for finds from excavations in Northern Devon, notably North Devon pottery.
We also hold and display recently found items from metal detector and field walking finds which includes recently discovered pre-historic flints from Westward Ho!
