Learning at the Museum

The museum is committed to supporting an innovative learning programme that engages people of all ages.

The museum currently has no Learning Officer in post, due to this we are unable to offer workshop sessions with schools. We will have an update on the post following the Easter Half Term break.

We are currently able to provide self-lead museum visits and school loans boxes, for further information about our loans boxes and resources please click here.

Loan Boxes And Teacher Resources

Our loan boxes contain original museum items to support national curriculum themes. Our teacher resources help support schools, home educators and other learning providers.

The museum regularly hosts guided tours as well as outreach events for history groups, community events and scout and girl guide groups.

The Learning Room

The learning room is situated on the first floor of the Museum with wonderful views of the River Taw. Available for private functions, meetings and events.
