About the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon Shop

The museum shop is proud to support local makers, artists and producers. You’ll find everything from ceramics to jewellery, local history books to hand-dyed scarves.

We also sell a great range of greetings cards, wrapping paper, fine art prints, art supplies and a range of books and interesting gifts for children and adults alike.

Supporting the Local Community – a Feel-Good Purchase

Many of us are now thinking much more about shopping locally and being mindful about where the products we buy come from.

Not only do we focus on supporting local producers, but all profit from the shop goes right back into the museum. We’re proud to be free to access, and you can be assured that every penny you spend in our shop helps to continue our work and maintain our diverse collection.

Sustainability

While acknowledging that we’ve got a long way to go, we are committed to the environment and to offering customers an increasing range of environmentally friendly and ethically sourced products. We’re also committed to supporting local artisans and makers, showcasing their work and continuing Barnstaple’s strong tradition of crafting and making.
