Come and join us making Roman costumes to take part in the Barnstaple Carnival.
The Carnival takes place in September and the museum will be running craft workshops to make Roman costumes ready to parade as part of the event using sustainable and recycled materials.
The workshops will run on Saturdays throughout August and they are open to everyone.
We will be making helmets, shields and other Roman items to put together a group for the procession.
If you want to be part of the parade and recreate ancient Rome come and join in.
If you have any clean cardboard and newspaper to bring you will be especially welcome – Gratius tibi!”
Sessions will run on Saturday August 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.
There will be two drop in sessions each date from 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm.
