Otherworlds | Annwn – A Curators Talk with Stuart Edmundson

Nov 18, 2023   -   Nov 18, 2023

Join us for a talk by Stuart Edmundson, curator of our current exhibition Otherworlds | Annwn, as he walks us through his curatorial process, including working with artists Tim Brennan, Lee Patterson, Oliver East, and Millie Laing-Tate, presenting the ambitious new sculptural, film, performance and drawing work on show.

Stuart has developed, run, and facilitated several successful artist-led galleries and activities, including “The B.M.C.A” (Blackpool Museum of Contemporary Art), and “Black”, Salford. Stuart continues to exhibit his own practice throughout the UK and Europe. He is currently the Programme Manager for the Arts and Contemporary Craft Foundation Degree at Petroc College.

Otherworlds | Annwn explores and questions our relationship with islands from ecological, geographical, metaphysical, and physical starting points. Lundy Island off the coast of North Devon, has been used as the foundation for each artists’ research for this exhibition. Otherworlds | Annwn presents new work from this research which explores our relationship with islands in a political and post-pandemic society.

It will take place on Saturday 18th November 2023 at 2:00 – 3:30pm.
