We are launching a photo challenge to local schools, to coincide with our Annual Documentary Photographic Exhibition. The theme of this years exhibition is Festivals, Fairs and Carnivals: merrymaking and revelry in North Devon.
We’d like you to create, re-create or engineer your own photos, on the theme of festivals, celebrations and carnivals and supply them to us at the museum.
Maybe you could use a good quality old photo and try to re-create the scene… or you could use photos you already have of events gone-by, recent or older, or even create something entirely new!
The entries will be on display at the museum during the final week of the main exhibition, during the week of Monday 24th February – Saturday 1st March.
The closing date for all entries from schools and colleges will be Friday 14th February
Entries will need to be in the format of a digital file, sent to the museum:
- Please send your digital photos, minimum 300 dpi to the museum at museum@northdevon.gov.uk
- Please check you have correct permissions to share the image for this purpose. We will only display photos on the understanding that you have already checked on permissions.
- Prize – museum volunteers will be voting on the entries from schools and colleges – and you could win a voucher for a FREE week on a loan box of your choice!
