Guided Tours

The Museum regularly hosts large groups interested in the social history of Barnstaple. We offer the following popular guided tours:

Guided tours last an hour and are led by one of our expert staff members. Available at £30 an hour (maximum group 30).

Outreach Talks

Alternatively our experienced staff are able to visit your group to present talks and objects on museum collections and themes. Outreach talks within North Devon are charged at £40 a visit. Choose from the following topics or contact the museum with your own request.

After Hours at the Museum

Book an exciting and informative visit exploring the museum in a safe environment, free of the general public. Your group will be guided around the museum before visiting our behind the scenes stores to view the museum’s wonderful hidden objects.

This offer is open to all youth groups as well as Scouting and Guiding groups looking for help attaining their Culture, Local Knowledge or Collecting badge.

The offer costs £2 a child and accompanying adults are free, your group must not exceed 30 children for health and safety reasons. For further enquiries or to make a booking please contact the museum.
